Hate Crime

Homophobia, biphobia and transphobia are irrational fears or hatred of a gay, lesbian, bisexual or trans people. When this fear/hate is acted upon Criminal Offences can be committed and these are known as Hate Crimes. Thames Valley Police take these Crimes and incidents seriously and encourage victims to come forward and report incidents

"A hate incident is any incident, which is perceived to be a hate incident by the victim or any other person"

How to report a hate crime

There are several ways to report a Hate Crime

3rd Party Reporting

Thames Valley Police together with partner agencies and local community organisations are developing a network of 3rd Party Reporting Centres to enable you to report at locations other than at a Police Station and also to have assistance when completing the Reporting Form.
