what is the centre for sexual health?
A free and confidential service that provides advice, information and treatment for people who: Are worried about infections which may be passed on through sexual contact Have other problems affecting the genital area Think they may be at risk of HIV infection The centre for the West Berkshire area is based near to the Royal Berkshire Hospital at:

and is called the Florey Unit. You can make your own appointment - your GP does not need to refer you.
We also provide
- A helpline offering information and advice (ring the health advisors 0118 987 7216)
- a drop-in clinic for hiv testing between 7.00am and 7.00pm monday - friday
- a comprehensive service for hiv/aids patients including, community nurse specialist, community mental health nurse, clinical psychologist, dietitian and acupuncture practitioner
- service for sex workers
- testing and support following rape/sexual assault
- psychosexual counselling
- teaching in the community
- emergency contraception
- young persons service
- safer sex information and advice
- colposcopy
