Gay Berkshire

Gay Berkshire is a county wide group which aims to give a stronger voice to the local lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community by working with all the local councils in Berkshire and the other statutory bodies, such as the Police and the National Health Service. At last we have a voice for our local LGBT community. 

GAY BERKSHIRE AIMS

• Run and promote campaigns for the LGBT community
• Provide or assist in training to local organisations
• Provide support to local LGBT groups
• Provide a voice and setting for the LGBT community to hold local authorities and statutory bodies accountable for responding to homophobic incidences
• Contribute to public safety by encouraging victims of Homophobic incidents to report them and helping to provide and promote anonymous reporting systems
• Provide support and help promote groups that work with LGBT young people
• To challenge perceptions of the LGBT community
• To work towards community cohesion by being involved in local events
